We have compiled this list of questions we commonly receive from our new customers as well as general information that everyone should be aware of before selecting a shipping service. We have provided all this information to our customers to help them understand how we move our freight and how we ship that freight most cost effective and efficiently than anyone else.
Best Rate Transportation is a combination of trucking companies, freight brokers, dispatchers and individual owner operators that have joined forces to bring customers an efficient, reliable and cost effective heavy haul shipping solution. Most importantly, Best Rate Transportation is a Canadian trucking company that makes customer satisfaction our number one priority.
BRT was formed on November 22, 2013. Although it is a newer company, the management team has anywhere from 10 -25 years of experience in the trucking industry. Our truck dispatchers are also highly experienced and trained in dispatching trucks. The Truck Drivers themselves also must meet our high standards in equipment operation, clean driving record, log book records, pre-trip & post trip inspections as well as having excellent customer service skills.
We truck all kinds of large item freight throughout North America. Every week we handle heavy equipment shipping, farm equipment shipping, oversize freight, car shipping, tractor shipping, ATV and snowmobile shipping, large parts and accessories and much more. Have a question about shipping an item? Contact us and we’ll get back to you right away!
All of the equipment we use and contract meets current transportation regulations and is in full working order. Our most commonly used trailers include flatbeds (flat decks), step decks, double drops, dry vans & RGN’s (removable goose necks).
9 times out of 10 we provide our customers with lower rates than anywhere else on the market. Though a lowest price is not guaranteed, we can price match most rates within reason. Click here to get a fast, free quote.
We have access to hundreds of units across North America at any given time. When you request a quote, we source a number of available contractors near your shipment and effectively use the free market to get you the lowest rate available.
After booking a shipment we will require that we have accurate pick and drop off locations for your freight as well as a way of loading an unloading. If the item is cross border we will need the appropriate paper work to have your shipment cleared through customers (if we are hired to do that for you). Other than that, you can follow up with us during our journey to you or sit back and wait for your item to arrive.
We are currently in the process of designing a freight tracking system that will allow customers to track their freight via our website. Until that time you will have to call our dispatch team or we can send you up to date freight information via email if you prefer.
Although, we would love to meet all of our customers every time they have a delivery, it is just not possible for us to be everywhere at the same time. In order for us to provide you with the best possible shipping rate and timely delivery, we do pass on our shipments to our contracted carriers & owner operators. In the event that the carriers are also too busy to handle your freight we will then turn to our brokerage network to get your item shipped quickly.
Best Rate Transportation has been in the industry a long time and has compiled a very detailed list of heavy haul trucking companies that meet certain criteria including; affordability, reliability, locations, past experience’s, etc.
